Senior Front End Developer

Engineering at Forj

We are seeking rockstar Senior Front-End Engineer to help us build new Web3 products and features from the ground up. You’ll be working on solving challenging problems revolving around the use of Web3 technology, tackling the most common issues faced by users in the space using elegant and intuitive solutions. Senior Front-End Engineers are responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.

Senior Front-End Engineers are required to work in teams alongside Back-End Engineers, Graphic Designers and User Experience Designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you’ll be doing

Determining the structure and design of web pages.
Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
Developing features to enhance the user experience.

Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.
Building reusable code for future use.
Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.

Maintaining brand consistency throughout design.

Requirements

Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks and CSS pre-processors.
Experience with modern Javascript, build tools, and frameworks such as React and Next.js, along with the knowledge of when to use them.
Experience with developing Web3 applications, preferably using Web3JS, EthersJS, Metamask and WalletConnect.
Experience with responsive and mobile design, as well as cross-browser development and testing.
Experience building rich data-driven web applications by consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
Experience with using Docker to run local or remote environments.
Track record delivering large customer features and front-end solutions in complex or ambiguous problem areas.
Understands at a high level how front-end code and experiences are delivered to users (e.g., HTTPS, DNS, CDNs, app stores).
Understands front-end software best practices including client-side performance optimization and how to mitigate information security risks.
Thinks in terms of architecture as well as code. Able to evaluate end-to-end designs for strengths and weaknesses (e.g., complexity, quality, scalability, latency, security, performance, data integrity, etc.)
Understands software engineering best practices (e.g. automated pipelines, Operational Excellence, Information Security) and sets front-end software and UX implementation standards.
Demonstrated UI implementation experience, and with a portfolio of work that demonstrates detailed attention to typography, color, imagery, motion, and graphic elements.
A passion for creating beautiful, engaging, intuitive, efficient, and highly usable user interfaces.
Familiar with emerging trends in desktop, web, and mobile app development.
Experience with deployments, DevOps, and/or AWS.
